Mission Trip Testimonies - 2.16-18

Mission Trip Testimonies - 2.16-18, 2024

Our Mission Trip team witnessed another powerful move of God while in Tijuana last weekend. The trip was not only transformational for those who were ministered to but also for those who were sent out. Here are several shared testimonies:

While ministering on the streets of the red light district, a man eagerly approached our team asking, “What must I do to be saved?”. It was a moment just like what we see in Acts 16, when the jailer asks this question to Paul and Silas.

While visiting the homeless ministry, two children decided they wanted to pray to ask Jesus into their hearts after our team had made crafts and shared their testimonies with these kids.

A young lady on the team shared how she began weeping while feeling the heart of God for the women in prostitution that they ministered to with Selah. She felt a burden to personally pray for all in need, even those who were at first hesitant.

During the worship, the song, “Gratitude” by Brandon Lake was sung and a woman was touched by the deep reality of the lyrics, that ALL she has to give to God is her hallelujah

One of the most precious testimonies is the heartfelt impact that those in Mexico had on our team.

“The Lord opened my eyes this weekend to just how blessed we are in Southern California. I have seen and ministered to the homeless before but this was next level and it really moved my heart to serve people that are actually so desperate and broken.”

“Everything I saw has opened my eyes to how blessed we are and we need to start taking the great commission seriously.

We rejoice over what God has done on this trip and we encourage you to pray about attending one of our upcoming trips, taking place once every three months.

Mission Trip Testimonies

Our mission team had a heartwarming adventure while bringing the joy of Christmas to children and their families in Tijuana, Mexico. Many gifts were given away to children who were thankful just to have food on the table. The kids also batted piñatas, decorated cookies, and shared a meal together with their families. Daniela Hernandez led a special time of ministry, teaching them how to recognize God’s voice in their lives. We thank all who joined us on this special occasion and we invite you to join us for the next one…

Children's Christmas Party & Toy Giveaway!

Our Children's Christmas Party and Toy Giveaway was a huge success with 230 children attending and receiving wrapped gifts, cookies and stuffed stockings! Thank you to all who participated in providing presents for these children to open on Christmas day! Thank you also to those who provided generous financial donations to purchase additional gifts. We gave away 125 gift cards this year to The Mercy Warehouse, Walmart, Target, In-N-Out Burger and more.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Peggie Rodrigez and her dedicated team for hosting this Christmas party and generously distributing gifts to children every year! Thank you also to Kathy Samuelson for providing 250 home-baked gift bags of assorted cookies! We are exceedingly blessed by all of your hearts to continuously give to those in need and to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the season of His birth!

Children raise their hands in the photo above to declare that they believe in Jesus.

Trail Life's First Camping Trip

Trail Life Troop 1810

First Camping Trip Highlights

The men and boys of CA-1810 experience their first camp trip at San Onofre Beach, Camp Pendelton. The weekend was filled with activities in and out of the water. There were various skills learned. Our dads and boys lashed post together to create their own flag posts. They worked together with ropes and created useful knots for outdoor survival.

Furthermore, they learned how to work together to set up a campsite. All participants were required to erect their own tents, then help others that needed help. Situated at iconic Trestles Surf Break, the lessons included how to navigate through ripe tides, high surf water safety, the history of Trestles, a hike on the shoreline, and fun water activities. The men and boys of Troop CA-1810 ended the trip with chapel on Sunday where the troop was taught the truth of the Word of God. All thoroughly enjoyed the camp trip; all are ready to do it again soon!

18 Baptized During Last Baptism

Baptism Service Highlight

18 Baptized on October 15

Our last Baptism Service on October 15 was incredible with 18 people baptized right after our main service! There was a triumphant joy and victory in the room as we celebrated these lives being transformed right before our eyes. Each person was also prophesied over by our prophetic team and blessed as they continue running their race for the Lord Jesus. Many lives were dedicated to the Lord in a deeper way and we thank God for how He is moving in this time! You can view a recap of these baptisms at the end of the service livestream below.

God has been moving in miraculous ways since the planting of this church, and we want to glorify Him by sharing these incredible stories! Testimonies are a powerful way to inspire faith in others, as we know that God loves to duplicate them! So we say MORE LORD!

Tijuana Mission Trip Testimonies

Our mission team that traveled to Tijuana this past weekend experienced many incredible testimonies while ministering in Jesus’ name! They first visited the Red Light District of the area with the organization Selah. While ministering to the women on the streets there, all the women they approached were receptive to the hand of Jesus and incredibly grateful to receive the gifts and prayers from our team. Each of the women they spoke with were given information to visit Selah, which is in close physical proximity to where the women work. They were also given many resources to help get them out of their current circumstances.

While ministering with Mexico Red the next morning, the team brought a big sign with the words “Jesus Loves You” written on it, asking people for prayer while they waited in line to receive breakfast. There were also two chairs stationed, along with a kneeling pad to kneel down and pray. Every single person who accepted prayer ended up in tears while experiencing the overwhelming love of God over their life. The presence of the Holy Spirit was tangible and heavy and many experienced healing both emotionally, physically and mentally. There was one particular homeless woman who was uncertain about receiving prayer at first, asking the team to simply pray for her from a distance. While praying, one of the women from the team began singing over her, when suddenly, the woman broke down and started weeping. She then shared how the song had caused her to feel the presence of God in a powerful way.

“You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” Psalms 32:7

There was a man who was blind in his right eye and regained sight after receiving prayer in the name of Jesus! There was another man with pain in his left leg who received prayer and witnessed his leg grow, feeling no more pain afterwards. One particular man asked the team if there was a dentist available, to which they responded by praying for him. Through the prayer, the man began crying and declaring his love for the presence of God. He was weeping and began repenting over his times of walking away from Jesus. Through this process, he also experienced emotional and physical healing. By the end, his tooth pain had completely left! Glory to God!

We thank the Lord Jesus for these powerful opportunities to touch and transform the lives of many people on this trip! We are grateful to see His glory and love break out and for the Kingdom of Heaven to expand here on earth! Thank you to all who prayed for our mission team and we ask God to bless the laborers who did the Lord’s work in the harvest on this trip!

These mission trips will take place once every three months. If you would like to be part of the next one, please contact Daniela Nasser at Daniela@vineyardln.com.

Baptize SoCal - 4,000+ Baptized!

Baptize SoCal - Pirates Cove Beach

Over 4,000 people were baptized on Pentecost Sunday at Pirates Cove Beach as part of Baptize SoCal! This event was held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Jesus Movement, which led hundreds of thousands of people to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Over 280 churches were involved in this recent baptism event, with 8,000 attendees in total.

In response to this powerful move of God, our church plans to follow the example set in the book of Acts where Peter preaches on Pentecost Sunday and 3,000 are saved, baptized in water, and begin meeting regularly in fellowship. As part of this next step, we are launching our Small Groups Summer initiative to get those within our church connected in community on a regular basis. For more information on this, please click the button below.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

Vineyard Kids Support Foster Ministry

May is National Foster Care Month and in response, our Vineyard Kids Ministry helped raise funds for the foster ministry called Heart and Home, raising $885 in just two days. Some children pulled money from their piggy banks! Others asked their neighbors—all to help this non-profit foster care ministry! We are so thankful to see how God is moving in the hearts of our children with generousity and compassionate.

Hope Fest OC

Thank you to all who attended Hope Fest OC at the Honda Center! This local gathering had an attendance of 4-5,000 people with around 70 who were baptized in water! Many others encountered the presence of the Lord through mighty praise, worship and ministry time! We praise God for moving in great ways in this day and age! As a church, we continue to contend in prayer for salvation throughout our state, our nation and all of the world in Jesus name!

MORE Conference Testimonies

Thank you to all who attended our MORE Conference! Those attending experienced a powerful time of worship, a release of the outpouring and impartation of God’s love, a deeper understanding of brain science in connection to our experiences, and a Relational Reformation.

Just as Jesus prays for a deeper unity of God’s followers in John 17, this conference focused on a new level of relational connection and allowed people to build skills that help with these connections.

We are so thankful for guest speakers Michel & Claudia Hendricks and Michael & Terri Sullivant and we thank them for ministering to our congregation in such powerful ways.

We were also honored to have Michel Hendricks from the conference speak an insightful message for our Sunday morning service. If you missed this, make sure to check it out below!

Church Highlights of 2022!

Church Highlights of 2022!

The year of 2022 was so impactful within our Vineyard, Laguna Niguel church community! Here are a few special moments to commemorate...

  • We celebrated our church's 25th Year Anniversary!

  • Our Mercy Warehouse gave away over a million dollars of foodthis year!

  • Our church recorded 4 original songs written by a number of our own worship leaders to be released to our church family in 2023!

  • Our Vineyard Kids Cr8 Summer Camp with Chad Dedmon brought about many Jesus encounters for the kids, as well as healing miracles!

  • Our church family and Mercy Warehouse community was able to bless children and families through Operation Christmas Child, The Mercy Warehouse Toy Drive & Christmas Party, and Adopt a Family!

  • 529 volunteers gave over 17,000 hours of their time to help their community through The Mercy Warehouse!

These are only some of many more testimonies that have taken place. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole Mercy Warehouse would not have room for the books that would be written.

Check out our 25th Year Anniversary Video below!

Toy Drive & Children's Christmas Party!

Our Mercy Warehouse Toy Drive and Children’s Christmas Party was a HUGE success on Monday, December 12th as we handed out 250 gifts and 75 gift cards for the older children, blessing over 300 families this Christmas!

Thank you so much to all who donated wrapped gifts this year! We also want to say a special thanks to Peggie Rodriguez and the Mercy Warehouse, who have hosted this event for the past 8 years! We also thank the dedicated team of volunteers who gave their time and talents to make this year's event so spectacular! Our local Mercy Warehouse Community was overjoyed and many of those who attended that night even declared their faith in Jesus. What a great way to celebrate this Christmas season!

Operation Christmas Child Testimony

Operation Christmas Child

TESTIMONY
THANK YOU to all who helped out with Operation Christmas Child! Our Packing Party was a huge success!! We packed over 400 Boxes and our church members donated to cover the $10 fee for every box! That's a $4,000 shipping cost covered! Praise the Lord!

A worship team member from our La Viña ministry received boxes from OCC when he was young in Colombia!! He shared his story with us at the packing party of how the Christmas box changed his life!!

Last year, our children’s school, King’s Academy, filled 200 boxes! Receiving a shoebox marks the lives of these children and in most cases, this is the ONLY Christmas gift they will receive! Thank you again to all who have participated to share the good news of Jesus across the world, while blessing children with Christmas gifts!

Catch The Wave Camp - Testimonies Still Flooding In!

Catch The Wave Camp

Testimonies Still Flooding In!

Children caught the wave BIG on Wednesday of our kids camp, which we were all waiting for!  Waves of healing came over this house! We saw Joshua Wickstrom's leg grow out after experiencing leg pains for months! He is now completely healed, glory to God! Many children and adults received healing, and those who were healed prayed and laid hands on others! Children were touched by God with numerous encounters including visions and dreams, families restored, finances replenished and more. Ample supplies and food donations flooded in the night before Family Camp. We were able to bless others with the excess. Children overcame their fear of the ocean and fell in love with surfing. Testimonies are still coming in! We expect more!! More Lord!

We are so thankful to The Dedmon's and their team as they have volunteered their time, gifts and talents all week! Some of Chad’s team even flew in all the way from Australia to be part of our camp!

A Kids Camp Planned By God!

God’s hand is certainly on the Catch the Wave Kids Camp that is taking place this upcoming week, August 1-3rd! Our children’s ministry director, Angie Castro, felt God place the name “Catch the Wave” on her heart back in January in reference to Psalms 93:4 that “mightier than the waves of the sea” is His Love for you. She then began to share this with the Children’s Ministry right away and even had it painted on a surfboard as a representation of catching the wave of God’s glory, healing and power! She had planned to officially launch this theme around Easter, but was surprised to have hit certain roadblocks in doing so at that time.

Angie then continued praying into this theme and while in that time of waiting, she met Chad Dedmon, a highly anointed pastor and minister who has worked with our church, Bethel and Iris ministries. During this meeting, Angie knew that she wanted Chad to be part of the Children’s Ministry, but it was the Lord who confirmed exactly how this was to happen.

Chad started sharing with Angie about his new ministry work, which to her amazement is also called “Catch the Wave”! Angie was brought to tears as she began to share with Chad that the Lord had been leading her in this same theme since the start of the year! She was touched to see that God had been orchestrating the details of this camp vision from the very beginning!

Angie is now confident that this year’s camp is going to be incredibly special! Chad is planning to do an outpouring and impartation over the kids with other fun activities like Create Crafts, painting beach bags, arts, snacks and more!

If you haven’t signed up your kids yet, please DO NOT miss this chance for them to experience an incredible move of God through the teaming up of our children’s ministry, Chad and Julia Dedmon, and The worship team, Your Friends Band! This camp is for all ages from toddlers to fifth grade so please register them today and Catch the Wave while it’s here!

Forgiveness and LIFE After Abortion...

Recently I heard the Lord ask me to speak His heart on the topic of abortion and of course my first thought was “NO way!”. The amount of hate and anger that has shown it’s face after Roe vs Wade was overturned has been intense and no one wants to be the target of that but I know that my obedience to the Lord far outweighs what others think of me so here I am being vulnerable….

I have a unique perspective because I have actually lived this issue from various sides because at 22 years old I found myself pregnant, alone in the U.S. with no family, working a contract nursing job with no savings and big dreams for my future that would be destroyed if I had a baby. When I told the baby’s father I was pregnant and thinking of keeping the baby he exploded in anger and stormed out and I never heard from him again. Not once did anyone say an encouraging word about being able to parent or even bring up the option of adoption, it was just assumed that I would have an abortion. When I saw the heartbeat on the ultrasound I laid on that table crying, I had never felt so alone and so scared. Because I hadn’t realized I was pregnant until I was 10 weeks along I didn’t have much time to decide. Although I wouldn’t truly meet Jesus for another 15 years, I knew there was a God and that it was wrong but I felt like I didn’t have a choice. I thought that the problem would be taken care of and I could move on with my life and forget it happened. I thought I’d never have to tell my family that I had been so irresponsible and could have babies in the future when I wanted to, so I allowed a doctor to take my child’s life. I remember waking up in the recovery room and actually feeling like there had been life inside of me and now it was gone, I felt so empty.

I tried to just move on but the abortion led to many, many years of trying to numb the pain with drugs, alcohol and partying, as well as depression caused by self-hatred. In 2011 I found my way back to God and my faith and discovered there was healing and forgiveness for me. I went through an abortion recovery group at a local church and it changed my life. I prayed and asked God for my child’s gender and He showed me a vision of a little boy and I named him Isaiah. During my group, I was able to write him a note, attach it to a balloon and release it up to heaven. It was very healing but even though I knew God had forgiven me, it took many more years before I could forgive myself. Following that group I spent the next few years leading abortion recovery groups at my church and walking many women through the same healing I had experienced. I got to sit with them as they cried and shared stories that they had never spoken to anyone before of multiple abortions or late term abortions and the trauma, shame and brokenness it had caused.

Years later when we started trying to have children I discovered I had developed adenomyosis in my uterus which occurred from the trauma of the abortion and we have experienced infertility and multiple miscarriages over the last 8 years and I haven’t been able to carry a pregnancy successfully since. I realized that I would have done anything to have made a different choice and still been able to raise and watch Isaiah grow. My whole life would have changed and been turned upside down but I believe it would have been ultimately for the better and I miss him everyday.

Over that time I asked the Lord to use my abortion story to help others and he led me to work as the Nurse Administrator for 3 years at a pro-life OB medical clinic where we provided the opposite of what I received, we encouraged the women, gave them all the options and resources and enabled women to make a choice not out of fear but with support and love. I also had the privilege of leading our Abortion Pill Reversal program and helping women to save their babies after taking the abortion pill and changing their minds. We were blessed to have a high success rate and it didn’t matter if it meant meeting a woman after hours or on weekends, we were committed to doing whatever we could to help them. What a joy it was to see a strong heartbeat on the ultrasound and beautiful baby photos as the Lord plucked them out of the enemy’s clutches and saved their lives and the gratitude of these women whose lives were almost changed forever (For more info go to www.abortionpillreversal.com).

I was so grateful that God was redeeming my abortion experience through leading abortion recovery groups and my job in the pro-life world and through saving other women from living the same trauma as I did. It’s also how we met our first son’s birth mom. She was living on the streets in a lifestyle of brokenness but she knew the Lord and still chose life for her baby in the midst of her circumstances. A year later our second son’s birth mom was in the same situation and I admire them both for making such a hard choice when they knew that they would not be able to parent or take their baby home in their current situation and could have easily gotten a free abortion instead. But because they chose life for their babies, I’m a mom today and they are best gift we have EVER been given! Society would have told them to abort, that they were harming their babies with their lifestyle and they knew that after birth they would have to walk through the trauma of placing their babies with someone else to be their mom- how incredibly brave they were! It was very humbling because I really could have raised Isaiah if I thought that I could, it would have changed everything and I would have struggled but I believe it would have been so worth it. At the time I thought I was brave for having the abortion but I was letting fear control me instead of what was best for the life growing inside of me and while I have forgiven myself, I will never stop regretting that decision.

The irony of my story is after my abortion I couldn’t carry another pregnancy or have biological children of my own but God led me to adopt children that no one else wanted and some would say should have been aborted. The Lord never wastes a hurt and He’s used my pain many times in my life to help others and I pray He continues to do so because that’s how I can honor Isaiah until I get to heaven. The Lord truly creates beauty from ashes!

“To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory.” Isaiah‬ ‭61:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Our views on abortion may be very different but I believe that every life is precious and sacred (no matter how they were conceived) and that God doesn’t make mistakes, He created that life and chose that woman to grow and nurture it and He wrote a book about that baby and their purpose and destiny before time even began (Psalm 139:16). He’s changed my view from an unplanned pregnancy being an inconvenience to it being an honor to be chosen by God to carry one of His precious children, that you get to partner with the creator of the universe to birth life into the next generation. I understand that there are horrible circumstances where a baby is conceived through rape, incest or in abusive relationships but is that life inside her not still precious and worthy of a life?

I know it’s scary but if you are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy know that you can choose life. And if no one has said it, you are capable of making a good choice for your baby, you are important and seen and loved. Abortion may seem like the quicker and easier route and like it will take care of the problem but I can tell you from experience that it doesn’t.

“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” Psalms‬ ‭139:13-16‬ ‭NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

If you have had an abortion there is so much love and grace for you and there is healing which will bring freedom from any shame you carry. The Lord loves you and wants to heal your broken heart and bring you back to wholeness. (If you want to explore healing options please direct message me and I will help you find a support group).

My dear friends, whether we agree on the issue of abortion or not, know that I love you and accept you just as you are!

I am forever grateful to God for saving me from shame, depression, anxiety and self-hatred with His great love and forgiveness, for the ways He has redeemed Isaiah’s life through the women I have gotten to help and their babies that have been saved from the same fate, and for taking such good care of all of my babies in heaven until we are reunited. May my life and my testimony glorify You Father!

To Isaiah,

I long for the day I get to see you and kiss your face but until then I hope sharing our testimony honors you because your life mattered. I love you and miss you sweet boy
