Trail Life's First Camping Trip

Trail Life Troop 1810

First Camping Trip Highlights

The men and boys of CA-1810 experience their first camp trip at San Onofre Beach, Camp Pendelton. The weekend was filled with activities in and out of the water. There were various skills learned. Our dads and boys lashed post together to create their own flag posts. They worked together with ropes and created useful knots for outdoor survival.

Furthermore, they learned how to work together to set up a campsite. All participants were required to erect their own tents, then help others that needed help. Situated at iconic Trestles Surf Break, the lessons included how to navigate through ripe tides, high surf water safety, the history of Trestles, a hike on the shoreline, and fun water activities. The men and boys of Troop CA-1810 ended the trip with chapel on Sunday where the troop was taught the truth of the Word of God. All thoroughly enjoyed the camp trip; all are ready to do it again soon!

Walk Worthy!!
